ROHS is commonly known as the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive and was adopted by European Union in February 2003. ROHS restricts the used of dangerous substances which are commonly used in electronic and electronic equipments. Those substances including Lead (Pb), Cadmium (Cd), Mercury (Hg) and Hexavalent chromium (Hex-Cr) as well as flame retardant of Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).
